2-3 days prior to your appointment discontinue the use of Retinol and any exfoliating products
(salicylic, glycolic, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic, glycolic, etc.)
Can I do chemical peels on other body parts?
Yes, it is common to do them on back and décolleté but we several other body parts.
What is the downtime/post-treatment care for Chemical Peels?
There is no major downtime for a level 1 chemical peel. You should avoid the use of your active products such as retinol and exfoliants for 3 days until you are fully healed.
No excessive heat for at least 24 hours.
Be committed to wearing your sunscreen. You may or may not experience light skin flaking.
There is some downtime for a level 2 chemical peel. You should avoid the use of your active products such as retinol and exfoliants for 5-7 days until you are fully healed. No excessive heat for at least 24-36 hours.
Be committed to wearing your sunscreen. You may experience light skin flaking to sloughing off depending on the peel used. Recommended to use high quality products to help aid in the healing process and assist with sloughing off the skin cells.

A series of treatments is recommended for best results.
